From Friday, August 29, the Discovery Theatre will be running a selection of Robin Williams films, in tribute to the late actor who sadly died earlier this month.

In tribute to film-star Robin Williams, who died earlier this month, the Isle of Bute Discovery Theatre will be showcasing a number of the late actor’s movies, starting this Friday (August 29) with Jumanji (PG) at 7.30pm.

On Saturday evening at 7.30pm the cinema will show ‘Hook’, Disney’s ‘Aladdin’ will play on Sunday afternoon starting at 2.30pm, and ‘Mrs Doubtfire’ will be shown at 7.30pm from Monday to Thursday next week.

Discovery Theatre manager, Hazel Mulholland told us: “These iconic films portray Robin Williams variety as an actor and these films hold special memories for everyone. With a stand out and instantly recognisable voice, films such as Aladdin are enjoyed by all ages and there must be plenty of adults who wish they could fly like Peter Pan…

“We hope to bring you a few of his films over the next two weeks so there should be a little of something for everyone!”

All films will be charged at a one off rate of £4.25 per person.
