With the sun choosing to make an appearance on Sunday, it made for perfect weather conditions for getting out and about in the bright autumn weather - and one location which was perfect for doing just that was Mount Stuart for Art in Nature.

The workshops were held at the visitor centre and allowed visitors of all ages to try their hand at various art forms, ranging from charcoal drawings (which had been set-up just outside the centre), while indoors offered glass etching and cermaic mosaics.

Jessica Herriot demonstrated her weaving skills, and as the above picture shows, happily passed on her expertise to younger artists.

Art in Nature forms part of a project by Argyll and the Isles to celebrate the Year of Natural Scotland.
