Rothesay Library’s annual Summer Reading Challenge has again proved a great success, with more than 90 children taking part over the school holidays in July and August.

This year’s theme, ‘Creepy House’, challenged the young readers to enjoy six books of their choice and collect stickers to reveal the creepy characters hiding in the house.

More than 70 children completed the challenge, and to celebrate their success a special presentation of certificates medals and swimming vouchers was held in the library recently.

Patricia McArthur from Rothesay Library said: “Special thanks to Rothesay Swimming Pool for the vouchers and school librarian Shiona Lawson for running two fun-filled ‘Creepy Craft Workshops’.”
