VIDEO: ‘Plays To Go’ by Bute theatre group

Bute’s local theatre group, the Bute Amateur Players, concluded a short island tour showing off a collection of ‘Plays To Go’ at Rothesay Pavilion on Saturday.

The programme featured two one-act plays - A Light Lunch by Bridget Derrett and White Lies by Richard James - as well as three short vignettes from Deckchairs by Jean McConnell, each featuring two ladies in conversation in a pair of seafront deckchairs.

In addition to the drama there were musical interludes from cast members Steve Smulski and Claire McMillan, while the whole evening concluded with an ensemble performance of the Abba song Money Money Money, featured in the video above, taken at the group’s Kingarth Hotel performance on Friday, June 13.

The cast members were Irene McGregor, Dorothy McDonald, Elizabeth McMillan, Claire McMillan, Gary Haworth, Ursula Eames, Rosemary Lonie and Pat Defelice, while the three plays were directed by Irene, Dorothy and Elizabeth.
