VIDEO: Bute radio station holds talent show in Rothesay

Waiting for Video...

Local radio station Bute FM showcased the cream of the island’s young musical talent at a show in the 292 Club in Rothesay on Saturday.

Singers Daniel Sweet, Beth Swan, Rosie O’Byrne, Charlene Pendreigh, Mhairi McArthur and Jimmy McCue were joined by the band All Who Care and guitarists Jordan Kane and Steve Smulski on the bill for the show, with the winners chosen by three local judges - Tony Spencer, Malcolm Alexander and Clara Thomson.

The first prize of £100 went to Daniel Sweet, with the second prize of £50 going to Jordan Kane and the third prize of £25 to Beth Swan. Our video clip shows off eight of the nine artists on the bill - sadly a technical problem, not discovered until after the show, corrupted our clip of All Who Care’s performance, so our apologies to them.
