The latest usage statistics for The Buteman’s website have been published - and we want to say a big thank you to all our web readers for putting us at the top of the heap!
Figures released by our publisher, Johnston Press, show that ‘page views’ of this site during March were up by a fantastic 165 per cent on March 2012.
The number of unique users visiting the site was up 129 per cent on the previous March, while the overall number of visits shot up by 167 per cent.
In all three categories that makes The Buteman’s website the best performing of all JP’s titles in Scotland - and it’s all thanks to you!
The latest figures are the best of a hugely encouraging year so far for the site - unique user numbers were up 32 per cent in January compared to the same month in 2012, and up 63 per cent in February.
Our site had 19,429 visits during January, 18,247 in February and 21,616 in March.
On top of that, sales of the printed edition of The Buteman regularly put us in the top 20 performers across all of JP’s 154 titles in the UK and Republic of Ireland.
Craig Borland, The Buteman’s editor, said: “These statistics show that people are increasingly thinking of The Buteman as much more than a once-a-week newspaper.
“It’s fantastic to see that both our print and online readers value us so highly, and that while we might be a small operation, being right at the heart of the community on Bute means we can still produce a great quality product that people want to read.”
