Gaylie Runciman, Libby McArthur and Alison Clark take on the roles of three Talking Tenements at a performance and workshop at Rothesay Joint Campus as part of the Rothesay Townscape Heritage Initiative.

Former River City star Libby McArthur swapped the tenements of Shieldinch for the historic buildings of Rothesay on a recent visit to Bute - and a video of the experience has now been published on Youtube.

As we reported in December, Libby - best known to many Scots TV viewers for her performances as Gina Rossi in the BBC soap - was enlisted to perform alongside her long-time friend Larry Sullivan from Port Bannatyne’s post office and fellow actors Gaylie Runciman and Alison Clark in ‘Talking Tenements’ at Rothesay Joint Campus.

The performance, and an associated workshop, formed part of Rothesay’s Townscape Heritage Initiative, and was designed to engage the island’s young people in caring for Rothesay’s built heritage. Click here to view a 14-minute video of the day’s events.
