We reported online at the end of last week that Bute model Chloe Woollcott (16) was jetting off to Paris Fashion Week for a photo-shoot - and that Sophie Reid, owner of The Dressing Room clothes shop in Montague Street, would be accompanying her with a selection of clothes from her store.
Chloe, her mum Carol, and Sophie have now returned from their weekend in the fashion capital of the world, and we’re pleased to report that for all parties it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
“Those two days were so full,” Sophie told us. “We have met some wonderful, genuine people in that short space of time who gave their own time and effort to help a very deserving model’s career, who will soon have the world at her feet - not to mention some new visitors for Bute, and invitations to New York!“
Carol had shown Chloe’s photographer some images of clothes from Sophie’s shop on Facebook, and fortunately she had just the look that was required, so Sophie was invited to join Chloe and her mum on the trip to assist during the shoot.
The trio headed to the Marriott Hotel in the French capital, and it was at this point that Sophie says it all became very real. “We met the organisers, were shown the into the ballroom where the catwalk had been set up, and the back-stage area which was full of beautiful women, designers, photographers, make up artist, and hairdressers. In the ballroom light crew, television producers and show managers were all working hard to prepare for the following day.”
