A top-quality line-up of artists from throughout Britain and beyond will appear at the 2015 Isle of Bute Jazz Festival.
The festival line-up, announced this week, more than eight months before the festival, includes a welcome return for the gypsy jazz quartet Rose Room, comprising Seonaid Aitken, Tom Watson, Tam Gallagher and Jimmy Moon, who missed the 2014 event due to a diary clash.
Also appearing on Bute between May 1 and 4 next year will be Richard White’s Fivers, the Chicago Teddy Bears, Alfresco, the Brownfield/Byrne Hot Six, Penman’s Jazzmen, Havana Swing, the Nova Scotia Jazz Band, the Bobby Wishart Group, the Tim Saul Quintet, Chris Clark, Robert Henderson, Anthony Purdy’s Swing Guitar, Mike Whellans, George MacDonald, the Deke McGee Band and Jazzmain.
There’s a first festival appearance for the Bute Community Swing Band, part of the Bute Community Band, while the ‘old favourites’ of the brolly parade, praise service, jam sessions and family jazz picnic also appear.
Details of who will be playing where, and when, will be announced nearer to the time.
