Week 18 of the winter league at Rothesay Golf Club saw the sun come out, and with it came the highest score of the year so far.

The winning result was scored by Andy Docherty and Jason McKay, carding 49 points, 24 points on the out nine and 25 points in. A total of seven birdies were scored by the pair in their round and both players played an almost equal part, with Jason scoring on ten holes and Andy at eight.

Runners up were the pairing of Kenny Thomson and Craig Charker with a score of 44 points, 22 out and 22 in. No twos were scored at the nominated holes so they rolled over to week 19.

In week 19 we were returned to wet and windy conditions and any score over 40 points would be a good score, and so it was proved with the winning score of 41 points. The winning pair was the one week pairing of Richard McIntyre and Neil Ritchie with Neil making sure he had his ear plugs at the ready.

Second place for the second week in a row was Craig Charker and Kenny Thomson with 40 points, however they must have thought what could have been as they reached the turn on 24 points and then only scored 16 points on the back nine.
