Following the success of the recent community ‘fun run’ organised by Rothesay Community Sport Hub, which raised over £2000 for the Dialysis Unit for Bute campaign, Hub members are now setting their sights on planning for the coming year.

The Community Sport Hub, one of a nationwide network, was established over two years ago, and gives all local sports clubs the opportunity to work together to pool ideas, resources and best

practice, to promote the growth of sport and physical activity on Bute.

Representatives of groups and clubs, and interested individuals are invited to attend Hub meetings and contribute to its work. If you or your club would like to be part of the Hub, please come along to the next meeting, which will be held in the Green Tree Room at the Moat Centre, on Monday, May 9, at 6.30pm.

This meeting will be focussing on the promotion of local sport, the summer programme, and the next steps in the development of island sport.

To kick-start planning for the summer programme, a short Survey Monkey has been prepared for clubs and organisations to register their interest. The survey can be accessed by clicking here.
