Sam Jamieson continued his fine form throughout the summer season at Port Bannatyne Golf Club by winning the second class medal finals, the sweep medal run in conjunction with them and reducing his handicap yet again.

His net 65 (78 - 13) was two shots below the CSS of the day and therefore is now playing off a handicap of 12. Hector Whitelaw won the first class medal finals with his net 66 (78 - 12) and he too receives a small handicap cut.

Donald Standaloft continued his winning low handicap ways by winning the scratch medal finals with his gross 72. Jamie Jardine had the only two of the day at the 10th.

The weather of last Saturday prevented members from venturing out on the course to contest the Autumn Handicap so this has been rescheduled for this Saturday.

Sunday is the popular Greenkeeper’s Quaich, with prize-giving at 5pm and a last tee time of 2pm. Nearest the pins and longest drive prizes are up for grabs.

The winter season is almost upon us and with it comes the Rothesay Motor Services Winter League kindly sponsored by David Reid. The entry sheet is now on the foyer notice board.
