Finally players at Rothesay Golf Club got to play golf in a t-shirt again, and what a difference it makes.

On Saturday, it was the R & J Anderson trophy which was won by George Reynolds on the count back after he, Gordon Shaw and Jimmy Ewing had tied on net 67. However George did not actually have the lowest score on the day, this was scored by Scott McAlister who shot a gross 72 less 8 for a net 64 but with Scott still playing as a junior he unfortunately cannot win a senior competition.

Scott reached the turn in five over par 40 but a back nine of two under par 32 including a two at the 11th hole, an eagle 2 at the 14th and a birdie at the 16th gave him a total of 72 less 8 net 64 and a cut of 0.6 in his handicap bringing him down to 7.4 playing 7. Well done, Scott.
