Last weekend, the ladies section of Port Bannatyne Golf Club had a pre-season training practice trip to the Glasgow Indoor Golf Centre at Kinning Park and received coaching from PGA Professional Karyn Burns.

The traditional coffee and bacon roll got the day off to a good start. Karen coached putting and chipping, then Ann Kennovin impressed with a hole in one in a fun short game competition. Karen then recorded and analysed the ladies’ full swings, giving constructive technical feedback. The ladies gave each other less technical feedback - concentrate on the swing because the answer to the question ‘Does my bum look big?’ is ‘No, the screen is small!’

Coffee and home-baking completed a value for money session.

In other news, light, or lack of it, stopped play in the opening competition and only two players finished, so the ladies are looking forward to the next competition, a fun two clubs and putter.
