VIDEO: Robert McAlister Memorial Junior Shinty Tournament

Bute’s young shinty players had cause to celebrate at the weekend, with both the P5 and P7 teams winning their respective sections in the Robert McAlister Memorial Junior Shinty Tournament.

The competition - which was established in memory of Robert McAlister, a keen Bute shinty player who died aged nine in a quad biking accident in May 2010 - welcomed competitors and their families from Dunoon, Strachur and Kyles Athletic to Rothesay Pavilion.
