Bute Shinty Club’s pre-season preparations step up a gear with a nine-a-side tournament in Rothesay this weekend.

Dunoon, Col-Glen, Kyles Athletic and Kilmory will join Bute in the competition, which will be played on the 3G surface at Rothesay Joint Campus on Saturday, February 6, with the action starting at 12 noon.

The competition will be the first pre-season action for most, if not all, of the teams involved as clubs across the country prepare for the first competitive action of the 2016 season on the first Saturday in March.

Also lined up are friendly fixtures between the Aberdour and Bute first and second teams at Silver Sands on Saturday, February 20.
