Shinty: Bute youngsters shine in mainland tournaments

Bute’s young shinty players flew the flag for the island this week at the annual South of Scotland primary schools’ six-a-side competition in Taynuilt.

Sunday’s competition at Taynuilt followed hard on the heels of a trip to An Aird in Fort William for the inaugural Scottish Primary Sixes, in which a Rothesay Primary team qualified for the last four before losing out to Aberdour on penalties following a goalless draw.
