Bute v Oban Camanachd in the Macaulay Cup on May 2 has been postponed due to a bereavement.

Bute Shinty Club’s first team match against Oban Camanachd this weekend has been called off because of a bereavement.

The two clubs’ Artemis Macaulay Cup first round fixture was due to have been played at the Meadows in Rothesay on Saturday afternoon, but the game has been postponed after a member of the Oban club’s reserve team, Lochside Rovers, died in an accident.

No new date has yet been set for the match.

The postponement means neither Bute team will be in action this weekend, as the club’s second string had previously been scheduled for a free week.
