The chairman of Bute Shinty Club has hailed the progress made by the club’s senior and youth players in the course of the last 12 months.
Speaking at the club’s annual general meeting this week, Barry Martin said the club had undergone “a total transformation” on the pitch in 2015.
“The youth section, without a doubt, was one of the biggest lifts,” he said.
“The young boys have done well at every level of competition they’ve entered,” Barry continued, “and have come away with their heads held high.
“The youth section of the club is a great prospect for the future.”
