Bute Rugby Club’s fixture plans have been dashed by bad weather for the second week in a row.

The island club was due to travel to Fort Matilda, home of Greenock Wanderers, on Saturday to take on a combined 2nd/3rd XV from the Inverclyde club, but heavy rain left the venue waterlogged and left the organisers with no choice but to cancel the game.

Bute’s next scheduled fixture is against the same opponents, this time at home, on Saturday, March 8.
