Bute Rugby Club’s first fixtures of the 2013-14 season have been announced.

The club has made provisional arrangements for five pre-season fixtures in July and August, beginning with a Captain’s versus Presidents training game on Saturday, July 20 and also including home and away fixtures against their nearest neighbours, Cowal RFC - the second coinciding with a club open day and the RugbyForce Weekend, a community initiative run by RBS.

Fixtures arranged so far are as follows:

Saturday, July 20 - Captain’s v President’s (training game)

Saturday, July 27 - Cowal v Bute

Saturday, August 3 - Bute v Allan Glen’s 2nd XV

Saturday, August 10 - Bute v Cowal (club open day/RBS RugbyForce Weekend)

Saturday, August 17 - Renfrew v Bute

Bute are not taking part in league competition in 2013-14, but hope to be able to confirm more matches once other clubs’ league fixtures are announced by the Scottish Rugby Union.
