The event (Sunday, May 12) is shaping up really well, with the Novice event now full.
However we still have a few places going in the Sprint distance: 30 lengths of the pool, 20km cycle and 5km run. If this sounds a bit much at short notice, why not do it as part of a team entry, where one person does the swim, another the cycle, and so on. Team entries are a regular part of the event, and really add to the atmosphere.
In addition we are hosting an Aquathon swim-run event for 11 and 12 year olds, which will be promoted through the schools soon, but basically its a case of just showing up at the swimming pool on the day. Participation is the name of the game. Afterwards there are prizes and momentos for all.
Betweeen the three events, we anticipate about 150 people taking part, with all ages and abilities involved. It really is a great spectacle, and all are welcome to come along to watch it all unfold.
Entries are submitted on www.entrycentral.com, or contact Murray on (01700) 503011.
On the day the Sprint starts at 12.00 noon, with registration from 10.45; Novice starts at 1.30pm and registration for this from 11.30am. The Aquathon goes first, at 11.00am, with registration at 10.30am.
