IN PICTURES: Shinty: Glasgow Mid Argyll 1, Bute 4

Bute Shinty Club’s second team turned in one of their most impressive performances of the season on Saturday to record a 4-1 win away to their Glasgow Mid Argyll counterparts in Marine Harvest South Division Two.

Veteran Ali Carmichael gave Bute the advantage with a deflected shot past Mid Argyll keeper Calum Munro after only five minutes, and though Cameron Divers levelled the game just before the break, Ruairaidh Soane re-established Bute’s lead six minutes into the second half with a stunning long-range strike.
