A new season for Bute’s curlers is just around the corner - and a free coaching session is to be provided by the local club in a bid to attract new players to ‘the roaring game’.

The session will be held at the Waterfront Leisure Centre in Greenock - home for most of Bute’s competitive fixtures - from 12.15pm on Wednesday, September 16.

Club president Margaret MacLeod said: “Our first league game of 2015-16 is on Wednesday, September 23, and our first club game is on Wednesday, September 30.

“We’re keen to hear from anyone who would like to give curling a try, whether they’ve never played before or would like to take it up again after a gap.”

Anyone interested in finding out more about the free Bute coaching session can contact Nancy Kinnear on (01700) 503182 for further details.
