Curling: Bute’s new season back on ice

Bute Curling Club’s new season should get under way soon after a technical fault at their main venue forced the postponement of their first fixtures

The 2014-15 season should have begun earlier this month, but a problem with the ice plant at the Waterfront Leisure Centre left the club - and others in the area - with no choice but to postpone their league, Argyll Province and club tournaments.

The fault was fixed in time to enable the rink to reopen at 3.30pm on Friday, October 10.

Bute Curling Club is hoping to attract new members to play the game now that the fault has been fixed - if you’d like to give ‘the roaring game’ a try, contact Nancy Kinnear on (01700) 503182.
