Bute Curling Club emerged with a record of one win and one defeat from a day of Argyll Province competitions at the Waterfront Leisure Centre in Greenock.

Bute were one of eight clubs taking part on the day, with Ron Forrester (skip), Donnie MacLeod, Jim Findlay and Peter Martin flying the island’s flag.

Sadly Bute’s first game, against a combined team representing Tighnabruaich and Upper Kyle, ended in a heavy 13-2 defeat for the islanders, but Roon and co tightened their curling shoes and after a break defeated Dunoon Ladies 9-4.
