Rothesay retained the Bute Bowling Association’s County Cup in convincing style against their Ardbeg and Craigmore counterparts.
The cup is played for over a single evening, with each of the three local clubs entering four triples and playing on a neutral green, with the club with the most shots scored declared the winners.
This year Rothesay’s total of 73 shots gave them a comfortable margin of victory, with Ardbeg finishing on 58 shots and Craigmore on 37.
Rothesay Bowling Club president Jim Miller was presented with the trophy by Bute Bowling Association president Hugh Yeamans when the prizes were handed out at Ardbeg at the close of play.
