Rothesay Bowling Club hosted the Glasgow Bowling Association’s touring team on Saturday, with 48 players taking part in six games on the Ballochgoy green.
The Glasgow team, which is ten years old this year, comprised office bearers, past presidents and honorary members of the GBA, plus members of various Glasgow clubs, while the Rothesay team was boosted by guests from Skelmorlie, Greenock and Ardbeg, plus Ian Brown, the coach driver for the Glasgow party.
Each team won three of the six games played during the course of the day, but on overall shots the Glasgow team won by a convincing margin - 117 shots to 68.
A raffle held on the day raised more than £180 for Erskine, the charity for former service personnel.
