Six mixed pairs played for the Myra/Gordon Trophy on Friday, June 14, at Colintraive Bowling Club.

This annual internal competition was sponsored once again by President Curly Black.

The format was 2 sections of 3 pairs playing two games of six ends, with the highest up pair in points and shots taking the trophy for 2016.

The weather held for most of the competition but then the heavens opened and we escaped to the hall for a lovely afternoon tea provided by the ladies.

The competition was then completed with the midges attacking the players from all angles.

The runners up on the day were Myra Campbell and Jim Cook (Skip) being narrowly beaten (3 shots) by Jean Currie and Curly Black.

Myra presented the prizes and thanked Curly for his sponsorship and Colintraive Bowling Club for a lovely afternoon.
