After a very average outward nine of 17 points Michael shot a four under par back nine of 24 points for a total of 41 points.

Runner-up this week was last week’s winner Angus Murray, who finished one point behind Michael on 40 points. No player scored a two this week.

In Sunday’s pairs, the winners were a one-week pairing of Gary Steele and Hughie Charker, who equalled the top score of the year so far with 46 points, 23 points out and 23 points back.

Runners-up this week were Jim McClean and Richard McIntyre, with their best score of this year - 44 points.
