BUTE Shinty Club goalkeeper John Whitelaw, defenders Danny McDermott, Ian McDonald, midfielders David Whitelaw, John McCallum and forwards Stuart Strathie and Robert Walker have all been picked to represent the under-21s Scotland south team in their game against the under-21s Scotland north team on Saturday October 9 at Kiltarlity.

From the senior team, Hector Whitelaw, Graham Fisher and Ian McDaonald have been chosen to represent the senior Scotland south team in their game against Scotland north this Saturday, October 2 at Spean Bridge.

If the players impress in these games then there is the chance that they could go on to represent Scotland in their international game against Ireland on Saturday, October 16 in Dublin.

It is fair to say that the team's success in the Balliemore Cup has brought these players to the attention of those in high places. The club would like to congratulate the guys in being picked and wish them every success in the forthcoming games.
