Golf: McTaggart lifts Port’s junior open title
Port Bannatyne Golf Club's junior open prize winners.
RYAN McTAGGART returned an excellent net 63 to win the Robert McAlister Memorial Trophy in Port Bannatyne’s junior open on Sunday.
McTaggart’s net score, off a gross 91, saw him win the title by a single shot from Lachlan Reynolds and Arran Downie on a day when the rain which fell on Rothesay stayed away from the Port, making it a very enjoyable day for the 37 juniors who took part.
The scratch prize was won by Andrew Black with a round of 76.
