The centenary captain of Port Bannatyne Golf Club has produced a new photo book as a lasting memento of a momentous year.

Iain L. MacLeod, who also wrote the club’s centenary history, ‘But Not A Grouse In Sight’, has compiled the story of a memorable 2012 by combining his own observations with photographs by clubmate Robert Jardine and extracts from the club’s weekly reports in The Buteman, written by Jim Bicker.

The collection updates the story of the club’s first 99 years as told in that centenary history, published in November 2011, and should provide plenty of happy memories for those involved in the centenary celebrations, which featured several new competitions and numerous enhancements to the on-course facilities as well as a centenary ball held in Rothesay in June.
