Golf: Bolton secures 14th Rothesay title

GRAHAM BOLTON won his 14th Rothesay Golf Club championship title in thrilling fashion on Sunday evening.
Bolton, who was first crowned club champion at Rothesay in 1985, defeated his long-time rival, eight times winner George Reynolds, at the first extra hole after the 36-hole final finished all square.
Thomas McCready beat Shaun Kernaghan to win the second class final, while Stewart Hogarth won the third class prize with victory over Norman Lamond.
The junior club championship was won by Ryan McKirdy, who beat Arran Dunn in the final.
