Phyllis McKirdy edged out Liz McMillan to win the Captain’s Prize competition at Rothesay Golf Club this week.

Fiona Scott’s competition was played in a stableford format, with Phyllis the winner by virtue of the better inward half after both players returned scores of 31 points.

Liz, however, maintained her good form to win the Autumn Handicap three days later.

At Port Bannatyne, Anita Rutherford and Maureen Sinclair were winners of the July and August SLGA medal competitions respectively, while Ann Kennovin’s fine recent putting form earned her victory in the ‘two clubs and a putter’ fun competition.
