The Rothesay Ladies Club hosted the Millennium Rose Bowl competition this year.

This cup was presented in Millennium year by the late Andrew McKirdy for competition by all lady golfers on the island and is played in rotation at all three clubs.

Liz McMillan and Fiona Scott, both of Rothesay, had the winning score of 73, but Liz took the honours by virtue of the better inward half.

The straightest drive was won by Anna McComb of Bute and youngest member, Claire Colquhoun of Port Bannatyne, was nearest the pin at the 11th hole. The prizes were presented after supper at the clubhouse.

At Rothesay this coming week the competition on Monday will be for the Wilson Trophy and on Thursday it will be the first qualifying round for the Championship.
