Birthday boy, Jim Thom, won the Salmon Leap at Port Bannatyne Golf Club on Saturday with an impressive 30 points.

Pete Barnett’s 28 points secured him the second place slot.

With the first Rothesay Motor Services Winter League fixtures cancelled due to the horrendous rain on Saturday night and Sunday morning, a late entry has been accepted into the competition which means there will now be two leagues of six pairs instead of the original one league of eleven.

What this also means is a re-structuring of not only the winter league but of the winter fixture list. Since not so many Sundays will now be needed for the winter league, the fixture list now includes more fixtures for all members. New fixture lists and all the information regarding the re-structured Rothesay Motor Services Winter League are now available from the club house.

This Sunday is the November Medal with the usual ballots.

All trophies should be returned to the clubhouse as soon as possible.
