The quarter-final line-up in the Rothesay Motor Services Winter League at Port Bannatyne Golf Club was finally decided on Sunday, after a long-awaited break in the weather paved the way for the final round of qualifying fixtures.

The day’s biggest losers were reigning champions Jamie Jardine and Jack Paterson, who missed out entirely on a last eight place after losing 2 and 1 to Colin Renfrew and Gordon Peacock, a long-time partnership who thus made it through to the quarter-finals for the first time.

The full list of qualifiers is as follows.

League A - David Reid/David Driver (winners) and Colin Renfrew/Gordon Peacock.

League B - Bobby Pedder/John Black (winners), Alex Greer/Alex Greer jnr and Robert Jardine/Mark Crichton.

League C - Hector Whitelaw/Donald Standaloft (winners), Graham Fisher/Ian McFarlane and Arran Dunn/Matthew Dunn.
