The Three in One Winter League at Rothesay Golf Club came to a rather soggy end at the weekend, with appropriately wintry conditions ensuring that no-one was able to catch the leaders of the singles and pairs competitions.

Angus Murray secured the singles title, finishing a comfortable seven points ahead of nearest challenger Michael Murty, while brothers Craig and Hughie Charker remained on top of the pairs standings with a final ‘best eight scores’ tally of 341 points, three ahead of a chasing pack led by Allan Smith and George Reynolds, who edged into second place ahead of Stuart Strathie and Allan Laughlan courtesy of the better eighth score.
