Strong winds and rain made scoring difficult for the second week running in Rothesay Golf Club's Winter League.

For the second week running the weather was the biggest winner in the Winter League pairs competition at Rothesay Golf Club.

Strong wind and rain once again made scoring extremely hard, with the one-week-only pairing of Neil Ritchie and Stuart Strathie the only duo to break the 40-point barrier.

Their score of 41 points, comprising an outward half of 21 points and an inward nine of 20, gave them a two-point margin over both Frank Lee and Ron Cuthbertson and Tommy Duncan and Richard Dunn, with the former pair taking second place thanks to a better inward half.

Players are asked to note that the Boxing Day Medal will take place on Thursday, December 26; if the weather is not good on the day, a pool and bowls flier will be held instead.
