Richard McIntyre continued his fine run of form by securing victory in the Ian Haig Memorial Trophy at Rothesay Golf Club on Saturday.

Richard, who had won the Rothesay Senior Open title seven days previously, finished one shot clear of Graham Riddell, Iain Simpson and Stan Gaston to make it two big wins in eight days in spite of a dodgy knee.

George Reynolds posted the best scratch score of the day with a round of 72; twos were scored by Willie Glen and Stan Gaston at the eighth hole, Rory McEwan, John Simpson and Richard McIntyre at the 11th and Jack Mackirdy and Allan Smith senior at the 13th.
