Golf: Twelve teams compete in Port Bannatyne mixed scramble

Gordon Macintyre, Heather Robertson and Donald Standaloft won the Ken Chisholm Memorial Quaich, the last mixed competition of the season, at Port Bannatyne Golf Club on Friday night.

A net score of 34.6 gave the trio a clear margin of victory ahead of runners-up Helen MacLeod, Matthew Dunn and Jim Bicker on 35.8, while Janey Jardine, Brian MacKillop and Pete Barnett took third place with a score of 37.6.

Twelve teams competed for the beautiful trophy, the biggest mixed scramble entry of the season, with generous sponsorship from the Chisholm family and Harry Slaven ensuring plenty of prizes at the end of the night.
