Tommy Wilkinson returned the best score of the day in the April Medal at Port Bannatyne Golf Club on Sunday - and booked himself the number one slot in the knockout stages of the Hector Linden Trophy in the process.
Tommy’s net 66 (85-18) won him the second class section of the medal, while David Bodys returned a net 68 (79-11) to win the first class.
David, however, missed out on a Hector Linden Trophy last four slot after losing the battle of the better inward halves to Donald Standaloft (72-4) - who returned the best scratch score of the day - and Gordy Macintyre (96-28). The second-placed qualifier was Calum MacPhail by virtue of a net 67 (86-19).
