The battle for the Three in One Winter League pairs title at Rothesay Golf Club is hotting up with only two rounds of the competition remaining.
Only four points separate the top three pairs on the overall leaderboard after Sunday’s action, in which Allan Laughlan and Stuart Strathie finished top of the weekly pile with 42 stableford points.
Hughie and Craig Charker lead the overall standings with 337 points in the tournament, in which each pair’s best eight scores count towards their total; George Hanson and Stuart Robertson are second on 335, with George Reynolds and Allan Smith senior on 334.
Angus Murray remains comfortably out in front in the singles competition with a best-eight-scores total of 306 points, though it was Jimmy Ewing who finished first in the latest weekly round on Saturday with 39 points.
