Stuart Robertson lifted the McLean Cup at Rothesay Golf Club on Saturday with a fine net score of 65.
More than a hundred players took part in one of the most popular tournaments in the Rothesay golfing calendar, with Richie More taking second place ahead of Malcolm Brown after both players finished on net 66.
Former islander Gavin Cochrane, now playing at Eastwood, won the scratch prize in the tournament, sponsored by local haulage firm John Mackirdy.
Missing from the competition prize list, but wearing a very big smile nonetheless, was former club captain Stan Gaston, who won a bottle of malt whisky after scoring a hole in one - the tenth of his golfing career - at the 11th hole.
