The real thing might be taking place at the Medinah Country Club in Chicago, but Ryder Cup fever has well and truly caught on at Rothesay Golf Club, where around 60 players took to the course on Sunday to do battle for their version of the famous trophy.

Led by brothers Craig and Hugh Charker respectively, the USA and Europe teams began their epic contest at 11am, giving them plenty of time to complete their rounds before the start of the final day’s play at Medinah, in which the USA took a 10-6 lead into the singles matches.
