George Reynolds won his third MacLeod Homes Port Open title at Port Bannatyne Golf Club on Saturday with some scintillating golf.
Prior to the competition’s sponsorship by MacLeod Homes George had won the Port Open several times, but rarely by such a comfortable margin and with such a stunning scorecard: he left the strong field trailing in his wake with a superb score of 64 on a card which featured nine threes, including five birdies.
George’s brother Tommy secured second place with a round of 71, with Graham Dunn, Donald Standaloft and club champion Stephen Renfrew equal third on 72.
Neil MacLeod won the handicap prize with a net 65, two ahead of brother Rory, with club captain Jim Bicker sandwiched between the pair in second.
