Liam Shanks and David Greer will take on John Marshall and Jimmy Dunn in the final of the Rothesay Motor Services Winter League at Port Bannatyne Golf Club this Sunday, March 27.

Marshall and Dunn booked their place in the final after a close last-four tie against Graham Fisher and Iain McFarlane last Sunday; the two pairs were level after 18 holes, and McFarlane three-putted the first extra hole to keep the tie alive before Marshall and Dunn finally secured victory at the second extra hole.

The second tie was also a close-run affair, with Shanks and Greer getting the better of Hector Whitelaw and Donald Standaloft by a one-hole margin.

The full list of fixtures and times for the finals day this Sunday will be posted on the club’s Facebook page, and will also be available in the clubhouse.

All Winter League participants are reminded that this Sunday’s play will be followed by a prize-giving ceremony and apres-golf hospitality.
