Robert Jardine and Mark Crichton lifted the Rothesay Motor Services Winter League title on Sunday with a 2 and 1 victory over John Black and Bobby Pedder.
Jardine and Crichton, runners-up in 2012-13, made light of the wintry conditions to capture the title after booking their final place with victory over the father-and-son Alec Greers in the last four.
The Greers did at least have the consolation of victory in Sunday’s third/fourth place play-off, defeating the other beaten semi-finalists, Graham Fisher and Ian McFarlane, by a 3 and 2 margin.
The junior Winter League title was won by reigning junior club champion Alastair Shaw, who had a comfortable win over Scott McAlister in the final, while Connor McClymont took third place.
