Golf: Gordy lifts JMF Tankard at Port Bannatyne

Gordy Macintyre won the JMF Tankard competition at Port Bannatyne Golf Club on Sunday with a fine net score of 64.

Gordy had already seen two shots sliced from his handicap the previous day, thanks to a net 62 in the second class of the April medal, and earned another two-shot cut thanks to a gross score of 90.

His net score on Sunday gave him a three-shot margin of victory, with Joe Livingstone second on a net 67 (79-12) and James Webster third on net 68. Donald Standaloft returned the best scratch score of the day with a round of 73.
